The Columbia Missourian is a largely student based daily newspaper, as a part of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. The publication prioritizes local news, but collaborates with national and international sources as well.
While working on my Bachelor's in Photojournalism, I spent time working for the Missourian as both a staff photographer and a photo editor. Being on both sides of production was an amazing experience. It advanced my skills in visual storytelling and helped me understand the technical side of photography and editing.

Las Noticias Monteverde (The Monteverde News) is a small bilingual newspaper based in the small tourist town of Monteverde, Costa Rica. The new publication highlights issues around the community, being one of the first forms of public journalism in the area.
During my summer abroad, this newspaper was part of an internship through the University of Missouri. I produced many of the images for our 4th Print Edition, while also writing a couple of my own stories. I focused on education and local access to health resources, while other members of our team worked on stories in environment, local government, art and culture. We also ran a social media series, which highlighted local faces that were seen around town.

The Pueblo Chieftain is a local newspaper in Pueblo, Colorado. Originally established in 1868, this publication has been a reliable source of journalism for centuries.
While home on breaks my first two years of college, I worked as a photographer for the Chieftain. I served as on-call help and got many stand alone photos as a front cover, but also contributed to other ongoing stories as well.
